I’m not sure who the compere was in this interview; the voice sounded like Alex Whisson’s. I do object to the interchangeable usage of the terms ‘allegations’ and ‘charges’ in this interview, by both Virginia Brown and the interviewer, where the claims of rape against Julian Assange are concerned. The facts are that Assange has not been charged with any offence under either Swedish or UK law. The ‘trial by media’ that is taking place around the world is in my view the result largely of a disinformation campaign by imperialism to disarm the international left and prevent the latter from uniting together in defence of Assange. In this respect, the British socialist MP George Galloway’s videotape and Virginia Brown’s comments on RTR FM in WA, are in the same league: they are attempts to ‘judge’ Asange outside legitimate judicial procedures. I have made this point before, elsewhere; if I, or anyone else, was to allege that the Duke of Edinburgh is a serial pederast, how seriously would such an allegation be taken? The US State Department and its stooges around the globe seem to have been remarkably successful in driving a wedge through the ranks of the international left on this question. If either the British or Swedish governments seriously believe that Julian Assange is guilty of sexual violence against either or both of the two women concerned, then he should be thus charged under the relevant statute(s). Otherwise they should back off.
I had intended to add to my comments on the RTR FM radio Facebook page, but the item on the interview with Brown seems to have been removed. I was engaged with a thread of discussion on rape and feminism a couple of months ago that involved Virginia Brown. This woman did not attempt seriously to answer my arguments. She resorted to crude and malicious attacks on my personal character, and accused me of being a misogynist when I refused to embrace her bourgeois-radical-feminist ideology. Clare Middlemas, the owner of the Facebook page on which the thread of discussion took place, deleted my reply to Virginia Brown’s attacks on my personal integrity, and ignored my correspondence when I sent a Facebook message to her pointing out that natural justice and my right of reply had been violated by her action. Brown has blocked with imperialism by attempting to shaft Julian Assange over the trumped-up ‘rape’ allegations. By doing this Brown has placed herself outside the socialist movement.

It does not surprise me in the least that Virginia Brown, the self-styled ‘feminist’ and ‘socialist’ who has joined publicly in the campaign by imperialism and the right wing to vilify Julian Assange, has not seen fit to answer my public criticisms of her views. In my opinion, Brown has crossed over into the enemy camp by adopting the stance she has over the attempt by the global ruling class to silence the Wikileaks organisation, and to vilify its leader Julian Assange.
